 The Treyarch version of the game allows the player to roam freely around Manhattan, Roosevelt, Ellis and Liberty Island. The PSP version of Spider-Man 2 was compared to playing the original Spider-Man movie game. The hugs of the street only have handguns, machine guns, crushers and their fists for their safety, super-villains and their minions have their own unique powers. And weapons that they either steal, cause terror or defeat Spider-Man. At the end of the game, it is possible to unlock a warehouse in which the player can again fight with swindlers and villains such as shockers, rhinos, Mysterio, doctor octopus and an extra boss, which is not found anywhere else in the game. The player has the ability to go with the storyline or swing around the city. The player can claim Manhattan, Roosevelt Island, Ellis Island, Liberty Island, and a mysterious label "Governors Island" on the map above the water, in which there are several sidequests to complete the player.
