Cookie Policy

Last updated: 20 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how HighCompress and the third parties we rely on use cookies and similar technologies when you visit high-compress.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. The next time you visit, your browser sends the cookie back, which lets the site recognise your device, remember preferences, or measure how the site is used. Some "cookies" are technically other storage mechanisms (local storage, pixel tags), but for simplicity we use "cookie" to cover all of them.

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary

These are required for basic site functions like loading pages over HTTPS and remembering your cookie-consent choice. They cannot be disabled through the consent banner because the Site would not work properly without them.

2.2 Analytics

We use analytics services to understand how visitors find and use the Site in aggregate. Examples of data measured: which articles are read, how long visitors stay, which devices are used. We do not view your individual browsing history.

2.3 Advertising (only if enabled)

If we activate Google AdSense or another ad network in the future, those services may set cookies to: serve advertisements, measure ad performance, and limit how often you see the same ad. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings or the consent banner shown on the Site.

3. Third parties that may set cookies

  • Google (Blogger hosting, Google Analytics, Google AdSense if active, Google Fonts).
  • The third-party comment or contact-form provider if one is installed.

Each third party's own cookie policy applies to the cookies it sets.

4. How to control cookies

You can change your preferences in three ways:

  • The consent banner on the Site lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies.
  • Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies for any site. Search "manage cookies" in your browser's help to find the option.
  • Third-party opt-outs for analytics and ads can be configured at the relevant provider's settings page (linked above for Google).

Blocking some cookies will not break the Site, but blocking strictly necessary cookies (for example, by disabling all cookies entirely) may cause display issues.

5. Changes

This Cookie Policy may be updated when our third-party services change or when we add new tools. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change.
