These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the HighCompress website at high-compress.com ("the Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. Educational purpose

The Site is an editorial publication providing educational information about file compression, image and PDF optimisation, video and audio formats, and website performance. Articles are written in good faith but should be treated as informational, not as personalised technical or legal advice.

Compression behaviour differs between files, tools, and software versions; we cannot guarantee that a step described in an article will produce the same result in your environment.

5. Always test on a copy

Before applying any compression or file-format technique discussed on the Site to important files, make a backup copy and test the technique on a non-critical sample. We are not responsible for data loss caused by following instructions on the Site.

Articles may link to external tools and websites. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, or behaviour. Use them at your own discretion.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HighCompress and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or the information published on it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are interpreted under the laws applicable to the Site's editorial team's jurisdiction. Where mandatory local consumer-protection rules apply to you, those rules take precedence.
