File Safety Policy

Last updated: 20 June 2026

This page is intentionally explicit so readers, copyright owners, and Google reviewers know exactly what HighCompress does and does not do with files.

What HighCompress currently is

HighCompress is an editorial publication. The Site publishes long-form, original articles about how file compression works for images, PDFs, video, audio, ZIP/7Z/RAR archives, and website assets. It also offers two client-side compression tools: an Image Compressor and a PDF Optimizer. Both run entirely in your browser and never upload files anywhere.

What HighCompress does NOT do

  • We host two free client-side compression tools. Our Image Compressor and PDF Optimizer run entirely in your browser. Files are processed locally on your device using JavaScript and are never uploaded to HighCompress or any third party. Beyond these tools we do not host any other compression service on the Site.
  • We do not host user file uploads or downloads. There is no upload form on the Site. There is no download link to user-generated files.
  • We do not distribute third-party software. Where articles mention software by name (for example, a free image optimiser), we link to the official source. We do not mirror installers or executables.
  • We do not host or link to pirated, cracked, or "compressed game" content. This Site is unrelated to the previous use of any similar-looking domain. Any user-submitted comment that promotes piracy will be removed.
  • We do not provide or link to mod APKs, key generators, license bypass tools, or any other copyright-circumvention material.
  • We do not provide adult content, gambling content, weapons content, controlled-substance content, or content targeting children inappropriately.

If file-compression tools are added in the future

If HighCompress ever adds a browser-based or server-side compression tool, this page will be updated before any tool goes live, and at minimum will explain:

  1. Whether compression runs locally in your browser or on a server.
  2. How long any uploaded file is retained, and how it is deleted.
  3. Whether uploaded files are accessible to anyone other than the uploader (typically: they are not).
  4. What categories of files are accepted and what file sizes are supported.
  5. How abuse (for example, uploading copyrighted material for redistribution) is detected and handled.

Until that change is announced, treat the Site as editorial only.

Reporting concerns

If you see content on HighCompress that violates the principles above — for example, a comment promoting cracked software, or an image we shouldn't be using — please tell us at achyuthkumar64@gmail.com. For copyright-specific concerns, follow our DMCA / Copyright Policy.
